Biological Safety Cabinet |
|
A biosafety cabinet (BSC)or biological safety cabinet, or microbiological safety cabinet is an enclosed, ventilated workspace for safely working with materials contaminated with (or potentially contaminated with) pathogens in the laboratory. Several different types exist, differentiated by the specifics of construction. The primary purpose of a BSC is to serve as the primary means to protect the laboratory worker and the surrounding environment from pathogens. All exhaust air is HEPA-filtered as it exits the biosafety cabinet, removing harmful bacteria and viruses. This is in contrast to a laminar flow clean bench, which blows unfiltered exhaust air towards the user and is not safe for work with pathogenic agents. Neither are most BSCs safe for use as fume hoods. Likewise, a fume hood fails to provide the environmental protection that HEPA filtration in a BSC would provide. However, most classes of BSCs have a secondary purpose to maintain the sterility of materials inside (the "product"). We hold international acclaim for manufacturing and exporting very high quality and extremely efficient Biosafety cabinets, pan-India and across the globe. We are producing all three classes , Class I, Class II and Class III types of Biological safety cabinets.

Class I Biosafety Cabinet |
Aeromech™ offers Class I Bio-safety Cabinets that are designed to protect the operator and environment from materials that are hazardous for operator’s health. The cabinet’s operation is based on the forced removal of hazardous substances from the working zone through the air up-flow. This is done with high-effective air filtration and its exhaust into the environment. The system works with 2 agents and hence there is no risk of their cross-contamination owing to unidirectional (laminar) air up-stream. All our Class I biological safety cabinets are suitable for work with microbiological agents assigned to bio-safety levels 1, 2 and 3. The dimensional details are as follows: Dimensional chart for Bio Safety Cabinets | Dimensional chart for Bio Safety Cabinets | | Model No | Working Area Size In Feet | Overall Equipment | Top Cabinet | Support Stand Size in MM | | Size in MM | Size in MM | | | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | | ABS-322-C1 | 3' x 2' x 2' | 1000 x 800 x 2000 | 1000 x 800 x 1400 | 1000 x 800 x 600 | | ABS-422-C1 | 4' x 2' x 2' | 1300 x 800 x 2000 | 1300 x 800 x 1400 | 980 x 850 x 760 | | ABS-622-C1 | 6' x 2' x 2' | 1900 x 800 x 2000 | 1280 x 850 x 1000 | 1280 x 850 x 760 |

Class II Biosafety Cabinet - Type B1 |
The Aeromech™ Class II biological safety cabinet of Type B1 has a common plenum, from which 70% of air is exhausted, and 30% re-circulated to the work area as the down flow. The Type B1 cabinets also have a dedicated exhaust feature to eliminate re-circulation when work is performed towards the back within the interior of the cabinet. The user should note that toxic chemicals employed as an adjunct to microbiological processes should only be employed if they do not interfere with work when re-circulated in the down flow. The standard dimensional chart for Class II biological safety cabinets of Type B1 offered by us are as follows: | Dimensional chart for Bio Safety Cabinets | | Model No | Working Area Size In Feet | Overall Equipment Size in MM | Top Cabinet Size in MM | Support Stand Size in MM | | | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | | ABS-322-C2-B1 | 3' x 2' x 2' | 1000 x 800 x 2000 | 1000 x 800 x 1400 | 1000 x 800 x 600 | | ABS-422-C2-B1 | 4' x 2' x 2' | 1300 x 800 x 2000 | 1300 x 800 x 1400 | 980 x 850 x 760 | | ABS-622-C2-B1 | 6' x 2' x 2' | 1900 x 800 x 2000 | 1280 x 850 x 1000 | 1280 x 850 x 760

Class II Biosafety Cabinet - Type B2 |
We Aeromech™ offer Class II Type B1 biological safety cabinets that have a common plenum from which 70% of air is exhausted, and 30% re-circulated to the work area. Type B2 cabinets have a dedicated exhaust feature which eliminates re-circulation of air while work is performed. These cabinets are quality tested and assured for technical compliance as desired before being installed at client’s facility. The standard dimensional chart of Bio Safety Cabinets offered by us is as follows: | Dimensional chart for Bio Safety Cabinets | | Model No | Working Area Size In Feet | Overall Equipment Size in MM | Top Cabinet Size in MM | Support Stand Size in MM | | | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | (W x D x H) | | ABS-322-C2-B1 | 3' x 2' x 2' | 1000 x 800 x 2000 | 1000 x 800 x 1400 | 1000 x 800 x 600 | | ABS-422-C2-B1 | 4' x 2' x 2' | 1300 x 800 x 2000 | 1300 x 800 x 1400 | 980 x 850 x 760 | | ABS-622-C2-B1 | 6' x 2' x 2' | 1900 x 800 x 2000 | 1280 x 850 x 1000 | 1280 x 850 x 760

Class III Biosafety Cabinet |
We offer Class III Bio-safety Cabinets for Product, Personnel & Environment protection only. These offer air balancing of 100% exhaust with incineration & working zone under negative. The bio-safety Class III cabinets are designed for work with Microbiological agents assigned to bio-safety level 4. These cabinets provide maximum protection to the environment and the worker. The cabinet provides access for passage of materials inside through a double-door pass-through box, which can be de-contaminated between uses. The supply and exhaust air is HEPA filtered. The exhaust air passes through the Two HEPA Filters, or a single HEPA filter and an air incinerator, before discharge to the outdoors. The airflow is maintained by a dedicated independent exhaust exterior, which keeps the cabinet under negative pressure. The cabinet has arm-length, heavy-duty rubber gloves attached in a gas-tight manner that ports in the cabinet and allows for manipulation of the materials isolated inside. Although the gloves restrict movement, they prevent the users from direct contact with the hazardous materials. Features: - Exhaust air is double-filtered through high-quality ULPA filters (per IEST-RP-CC-001.3) with typical efficiency of >99.999% for 0.1 to 0.3 micron particles, better than HEPA filters.
- Neoprene™ gauntlets are single piece leak-tested glove assemblies which guarantee maximum protection.
- Microprocessor-based Esco Sentinel™ Silver control system provides visual / audible alarms for airflow.
- Cabinet operates at negative pressure relative to the laboratory in order to prevent migration of pathogenic materials out of the work area.
- Exclusive dual exhaust filters provide >100,000 times better protection than single-stage designs.
- An integrated pass-through with interlocking doors, permits materials transfer without risk of environmental contamination.
- ISOCIDE antimicrobial surface on all painted surfaces minimizes contamination.
- Magnehelic pressure gauge* is mounted in the rear of the work zone for at-a-glance monitoring of work zone negative pressure.
- An angled cabinet front ensures an ergonomic working posture.
