Horizontal Laminar Air Flow

A laminar flow cabinet or laminar flow closet or tissue culture hood is a carefully enclosed bench designed to prevent contamination of semiconductor wafers, biological samples, or any particle sensitive device. Air is drawn through a HEPA filter and blown in a very smooth, laminar flow towards the user. The cabinet is usually made of stainless steel with no gaps or joints where spores might collect. Such hoods exist in both horizontal and vertical configurations, and there are many different types of cabinets with a variety of airflow patterns and acceptable uses. NSF49 is the commonly accepted regulatory standard for these cabinets.

Laminar flow cabinets may have a UV-C germicidal lamp to sterilize the shell and contents when not in use. (It is important to switch this light off during use, as it will quickly give any exposed skin sunburn and may cause cataracts.). Aeromech™ Horizontal laminar airflow is ideal equipment for Microbiological manipulations. The system is ideal for bio-assays, sterility testing and research work. The system is also used for Vial filling and bunging operations in parental units and general dry processing work in semi –conductor manufacture and in tissue culture work. The Horizontal Laminar Airflow (unidirectional Airflow) offers a confined area moving in a uniform velocity along parallel flow lines. It has continuous wash of HEPA / ULPA filtered Air moving horizontally across the work area. The uniform stream of filtered air moves forward over the work surface from the rear of the work area. The airflow across the work area is directed at the user and exhausts into the surrounding area.


Table Top Version

Table Top Version

We offer Table Top Version of Horizontal Laminar Airflow (unidirectional Airflow), which is a confined area moving in a uniform velocity along parallel flow lines. The system has a continuous wash of HEPA/ULPA filtered Air moving horizontally across the work area. The uniform stream of filtered air moves forward over the work surface from the rear of the work area. The airflow crosses the work area directly at the user and exhausts. This is a space saving model that can be installed in clean rooms that have lesser floor space.

We offer the Biotech Version of Horizontal laminar airflow systems. These are accurately designed and constructed systems in conformance with industry defined standards. The Biotech Version of Horizontal laminar airflow systems offered by us exhibits the following features:

 

  • Horizontal Laminar Flow made of stainless steel top.
  • Cock for gas air or vacuum line.
  • Build with U.V. Germicide light and white light and adequate illumination.
  • Front panel made of toughened glass in two pieces one piece fix and the other sliding upwards.
  • Motor blower assembly.
  • Pressure differential manometer.
  • Fitted with HEPA filter and pre filter. HEPA filter efficiency rating 99.9% down to 0.3 microns.
  • Working area 48" Wx 24" Dx24" H.
